Kumbakit Nagpipikit Ako ng mga Mata ni Reuel M. Aguila Minsan, tinanong ng aking kuya, sa probins'ya, noong kami’y mga bata pa, kung bulag na ba daw s’ya; nang pinatay na ang gasera wala s’yang makita. Walang matatandang nakatugon maliban sa hanging may ibinubulong, at mga kuliglig na waring may hinihimig. Mayamaya pa’y pati mga mata’y nasanay sa dilim. Sa dilim higit na maningning ang mga bituin. Ilang dekada na iyon; at gayong pareho na kaming nagsasalamin, ano’t higit nahihirapang aninagin ang mga bituin ng mga nagdaan; nakakasilaw ang mga ilaw ng kasalukuyan; at ang liyab ng mga dagitab ay sapat nang makapambulag. Wala lang. Mayroon lang mga alaala na marahil ay mahalaga o may aral; ewan. Di ko matantya kumbakit higit akong nakakakita sa pagpikit ng mga mata; at higit na lumiliwanag ang pananaw kung pinapatay ang mga ilaw. Tribute To Kuya Boyet (aka Manny)

I am honored to have been selected to write this tribute about someone who I consider many things to me including: Kapitbahay, Adopted Cousin, Confidant, very good friend but most of all, our outgoing Alumni Association RMCHS Batch ’70 President! You all know who I am referring to: Manuel Palafox Jr. , or Manny or as I call him Kuya Boyet. I wish I could be there with you to honor Kuya Boyet. But due to a minor geographical detail, I have to write my tribute and I am hoping this will just be just as good. I have known Kuya Boyet since a very young and tender age. We lived next door to each other in Bignay where we were molded by our dear parents, elders and friends.  I used to borrow Kuya’s bicycle and ride down the street. Kuya Boyet, being the eldest child of his family was the Boss, the bully and the leader of his siblings. in contrast, I was the youngest of my siblings and of course, they used to bully me. First off, thank you everyone for all your support. Here's a message sent to me by Ms Josie Sy Ang regarding the draw results of the Rotary tickets. Unfortunately, there's no winner from our ticket booklets batch. "HI there Malou, I sent you a text last night re the car raffle. I think its very important that you send out a message to our batchmates re the results of the car raffle. Pictures attached was taken from my i phone as the raffle was done late after dinner and John was out getting our clothes. I don't know why but this year, there were very few minor prizes. They were probably not able to sell tickets very well.
