A Call for Help
To Our Dear Batch70, Our batchmate, Minda Tapales is currently confined at the UE RM Medical Center because of ovarian cancer. The doctors informed her daughter Nini that Minda would need an operation immediately. Minda needs financial support to cover her initial confinement fees including diagnostic/medical/laboratory expenses; not to mention the cost of her operation. At this point the amount that needs to be settled immediately is in the vicinity of Php25,000.00 afterwhich, she can be transferred to the Charity Ward. Abe Espiritu who volunteered to coordinate the Call for Help efforts, including the 2010-2012 former Batch Officers led by Manny Palafox, have so far raised P8,500.00. Today, Joe Apostol also contributed Php4K plus US$100.00. Contributions were also received from batch mates who want to remain anonymous.
