RMCHS Batch '70

I just got this email msg from our rmchs1970@gmail.com account.. addressed to Chairman Vixi Abat,  from our classmate Rodrigo Yago Sr and it goes: Hi to everybody! I just found out the blog on RMCHS Batch 70 when I googled the name of our school about 2 weeks ago.  My copy of class picture for group IV-1 had been lost a long time ago.  I  saw the picture and read the names and I felt like I'm in high school again. Over the years, when I pass by the school on my way to work, I saw banners about homecoming events, but I was not interested and never attempted to establish contact. It's only now that I am trying to connect with all of you. I hope you'll still allow me to join the group. Rodrigo A. Yago

And we all saw her dance during the very recent grand alumni homecoming.. did you see how she danced that night? gracefully beautiful.. and mind you, without a rehearsal.. not one .. truly one of  RMCHS'  dancing divas..

Emma was a classmate in intermediate grade school. Along with other rmchs batchmates like Ada Tolentino Bernal , Sam Movido , and Cresencia 'Cris' Cachero . An fb friend and another grade school classmate Marilyn led me to her. Emma will always remind me of genteel ways;  soft spoken,  sweet smile, with only kind words about others. Like it was just yesterday With family Welcome to the batch Emma! Are you in the Philippines? Los Banos, if I recollect right? Or are you abroad?

Tall, svelte and lovely. That is my classmate Ada. Today,  I call her Ads. I didn't realize  up until a few days ago that  Ada did not have her own post in this blog.. whew! How could I have missed that?  Terribly sorry for that Ads. But.. In the beginning when we were in grade 4,  I was a student transferee. That was 1964. Ada  became a classmate and became a friend. How could I forget her? She lives near our school and we used to drop by her place for quick snacks. By we, I mean Cresencia 'Cris' Cachero and Emma Gironella ,  I believe.  Ada and Cris  lived a step away from our  school; (9th Avenue);  so during breaks and after school ,  we were either at  Cresencia's house, or Ada's place doing our youthful chit chats. Sometimes our feet also took us to a not so far away  house (8th Avenue), at Emma's. Those were the days - -  girlhood wonders.   And so we all went through the same transitions,  only to find ourselves with,  surprise of all surprises,  e

Abe Espiritu asked me yesterday if Ines Magdalita is already my fb friend and I said not yet. Automatically,  I searched for her name and requested an add. Presto, she graciously added me to her list. Ines is based in Belgium as far as I can glean from her fb profile. I also saw pictures of her travels and I grabbed one for this post. Welcome Ines. Susan is based in the Philippines. She enjoys her life with regular fellowships with Ada, Lorie , Ver , Cristy and the rest of this merry group. Remains pretty In loving pose with Hubby

Batchmate Liza is based in the Philippines and currently handles a managerial position in one of the "Big 3" universities in Metro Manila. With batchmates Linda and Aida Taken during the Grand Alumni Homecoming last December 4, 2010. And BTW Liza, would it be too much to ask your presence in our future batch meetings?

Rosefe is a nurse and has been based in the United States for quite awhile.

Alice is now a widow. She worked with a Makati based management consulting company.  Her fb profile further indicates interest  in supporting the  candidacy of celebrity figures like  Kata Inocencio formerly of ABS-CBN Public Affairs.

Another getting together time filled with bonding. This group seems to prove that their middle names are FUN. And why not? As they say, life is short. What better way is there but to indulge in the company of people who matter. Cheers! But where are the photos? Slide the pic portal has since closed shop.

Batch70-Ax also celebrated their Christmas Party on December 29, 2010 at Cristy Aguirre's Place in Valle Verde. These few pics which I grabbed from fb gives us a hint  that the group had so much fun, singing, dancing and just enjoying each other's company!  But the real fun really begins when I show you  those snapshots ASAP. Just you wait and see.  Till the next gig :-) BTW, I could use some help. If someone from the group could please help me get all the names who joined in the celebration. Thanks. Where are the photos? A couple of classmates decided to hold an intimate dinner before the year ended December 29, 2010). This was really an afterthought of the Dec 4, 2010 grand alumni celebration because Doc Lu came late that time and because Charlie, really resides partly in Baguio. It was a night spent with fun, laughter.. reminiscing our youth.. the stories of our many adolescent days spent together, including what came between then and now.. quite nostalgic really. We vowed to do this again next year with more classmates. We're sorry we were not able to contact Linda Avenido and Doc Essie Antonio D. This year perhaps, with better planning. BTW, Reuel Aguila took the photos, thus his absence from the pictures here. My point and shoot camera was uncooperative that night and so there were not too many photos to record the get together. Our batchmate Tess (I hope that is her nickname, ) is currently a teacher in California, where she has been based for a long time now with her family. She obtained her graduate studies degree also from California university. Tess and husband? :-)
