Hernani Cualing M.D.

Image
After Alex P informed me that he saw Hernani on fb, and was actually just waiting friend confirmation from him,   I decided to follow suit and made contact with this msg: "Hi Hernani. This is Malou D here. Lex Parayno mentioned about waiting for confirmation regarding his request for friendship. I thought hanapin ko rin  si Hernani and here I am now. I know someone mentioned about you turning out  to be a doctor. I can  see from your profile picture that you are because you emit that look that only doctors possess - a distinct aura of gentleness and you don't look a year older except perhaps for the hairline he he I hope we get to have a glimpse of what it's been like after high school and the university. For starters, we know you're a doctor, so what is your specialization? My best regards to you and your family". Sending this message reminded me that from what I heard,  our class produced a couple of medical doctors: Priscilla A, Salome S, Beni

Salome Senga

A short family name now - Lo; with first name snipped as well (It used to be Luming), Lu is an anesthesiologist by profession. The husband is a surgeon and maybe soon,  three more additions from  the medical profession (she has two daughters, one in med  and the younger one in nursing school). Who knows the son might just be also a doctor. Lu visited me here in our place last November. Ever so  thoughtful bringing those delicious goodies to remember my birthday. Also one day in November, together with Susan (or Sue) and Chuchi, we ate our stomachs out with seafood - her  treat on the occasion of Susan's visit from Australia. Ooohhhh, that was real  blast, laughing out loud at every memorable high school anecdote. That night was a celebration. And Lu was a super active participant.  But what you don't know perhaps is that she drives like a race driver. She intimated that traffic management people always  ignore her speed. She IS a doctor after all -- on an emergency hahaha

Finding Lito M

Image
Lito M looks very diffferent from before, doesn't he? He looks more gorgeous now, happy, contented. Look at those sparkling eyes and those cheery smiles from the family members. (I had to enlarge this photo kaya medyo blurry but still good.) "Here's a picture of my family. Sarah our eldest, is on her second masteral degree; Paolo is taking his masters in architecture while Philip the youngest is in grade 5". The first time I  contacted  Lito, I asked  him if he became a priest. And I share with you classmates, his response: "Actually I lasted only one year in the seminary. I felt it was not really my calling. Went back to UP and graduated only in 1980. In between student years, I was involved in the first youth exchange program between Canada and Phil. as a participant/group leader in 1974 - 1975. Worked with the government from 1977 to 1989 in the field of development planning, land-use regulations as well as project implementation. Work entailed travel

Industrial Valley Complex, Marikina City in a Map

We live in Marikina City. My family moved here from Quezon City where I and my children stayed almost all our lives. Lifestyle changes led us to leave.  It was a chore moving  out.  Living somewhere other than Q.C. was almost unthinkable.  But the decision has been made. At the start, it took some adjustment but, as the adage say; we can do anything if we put our minds to it.   This is a map showing where our home now  is located. We 've been here around 5 months. Our house in Provident Village, was flooded when Typhoon Ondoy happened in September 26, 2009. View Larger Map

Manuel Cat

I will never forget Manuel. Because he was like Susan's crush forever. I hope  Manuel's wife and Sue's husband won't mind this now :-) Nagkita-kita naman sila sa U.S. recently, I think. Anyway, I remember Manuel together with other Ramon guys like our very own classmate, Rolando B, and Ernie De Gu,  and Monching Punz from S-3 going to the PMA. Model Platoon sila di ba. Awesome. I remember always watching their practice drills, together with Sue and Edwina and Bes (dahil kay Lito Valles?) joke lang past na naman yun) I heard that Manuel served the AFP after PMA. Divina,  his wife being  a nurse,  went to the  U.S. Manuel joined the family after some years with the AFP.  Back to the present, Manuel was here  in the Philippines recently to attend his son's wedding. I think we have a photo of that. Anecdote lang, one more reason I wont forget Manuel,  kasi hiniram nya lahat ng Jingle magazine ko nung nasa VLuna sya pero sira na ng masoli sa akin he he..  sinabi

Bessie Baldovino

Image
Bessie used to be our classmate way back our freshman year at Ramon. We were togther until we were in junior year. I know that for sure because we had this "barkada" called MEBS which basically meant Marilou-Edwina-Bessie-Susan. The four of us always hang out together, studying, doing our assignments, chatting, eating, or watching  Ramon's Model Platoon rehearse on New Orleans Street. When there was an opportunity after our classes, we visited each other's house. Almost always it was Bessie's house we went to,  because their placewas the nearest to our school. Sometimes, it would be Susan's. She lived a few blocks in Kamias. Meanwhile, Edwina lived in Quirino, while I lived the farthest, in Murphy which is now known as Camp Aguinaldo. Here are Bessie's pics which I freely grabbed from her fb profile. She is with her family in the United States. Her son is in the military service. She has a grandchild, another coming soon  from this son.  Her daug

Divin L. J.

Divin with her grandchildren in this photo. Divin is a nurse based in the United States. She is married to Jimmy J. Jimmy is also an alumni of Ramon. They have two children, a son is married with two kids. Just like Divin, the daughter is also in the nursing profession.

Alex Parayno

Because we were so in a hurry to post news about classmates, some life clips appear to be wanting. So here we are adding more snippets about Lex and wife: Lex  served as  Production Planning Engineering Supervisor  for Toyota Military Mini Cruiser at  the Delta Motor Corporation from 1976 to 1980.  (I believe this was in the Middle East already). He then set-up Daikin Air Conditioning  Manufacturing  Plant in Bahrain in the Middle East beginning in 1980. From the M.E. he immigrated to the United States in  1981 with his wife who's a Dietician. Lex also served in  the US Army  and eventually worked with the  US Federal Government.    Photos from Lex P of California, U.S.A. Pics taken I believe when Lex and Family visited Grand Canyon   Lex told me the good news that he and  family are now Born Again Christians.

Vicky M. T.

Image
I would always remember Vicky M. Back in high school, I had always admired her neatness, perky personality, makinis ang balat, maganda ang legs and those big brown eyes. Funny how memory automatically takes  me to those very moments.  Isa pa, di nagugusot ang school uniform dahil ang ingat maupo. And another thing, uncle nya celebrity. Artista -- that's Jose Morelos. I consider Vicky as one of the prettier classmates: Charito Moreno was also a sight; a pretty imp. Si Priscilla  was another. At si Zeny  Evangelista,  bata pa pero sexy na. Well all the rest pretty rin kami kaya lang yung mga na-mention ko,  lamang lang ng isang hilamos he he Of course we all lost touch from one another. But this blog and of course fb is an  opportunity to keep connected,  no matter the distance. BTW, Vicky is a medical technologist based in the United States. I grabbed these pics from Vicky's  fb profile pages. Cheers!

And here's ... Jing V.

Facebook Messages: On December 8, 2009 Hi Jing, Malou here. Paramdam ka naman he he On December 31, 2009  Hi Jing, Peace, Love and Harmony for 2010! Most recent Hello there Jing. Teka, pano kayo nagkakilala ni Ani Montano?   Dami niya tanong no?  But that's okey. I was just too glad to answer those questions he he.

Loads of information may be forthcoming about other class or batch mates

Image
I got this info about Alex P who has relocated to United States for sometime now.   This photo  was taken in 1994, and here, with wife and children. He is based in Sta Clara, California and works for the U.S. Postal Service.  Additionally, according to Lex,  the following class or batchmates are in facebook as well. So, I will soon come looking he he 1. Vangie Per _ _ _ _  She has a brother and lives in Detroit St, was it? 2. Bessie Bald _ _ _ _ _  - is in the United States and a Nurse- member of the MEBS 3. Vicky Mor _ _ _ _   - is also in the United States and a Nurse as well - his uncle used to be in the movies he he By the way, here's a pic of Manuel Cata _ _ _ _   and his cute grandaughter (I grabbed this from his facebook  profile page).  Maybe,  Susan can tell us more news about Manuel Cata and Ernie de Gu, so we can add it here. Hopefully, Susan took some photos of Manuel and his  Family; and  Ernie de Gu (who has since migrated to the U.S. also); during their
