Minutes of Meeting

  1. The Meeting was called to order by Pres. Manny Palafox, Jr. (5:15PM). and the Minutes of the previous meeting approval was seconded by Cecille and Malou.
  1. By-Laws Draft Presentation by Manny Palafox
2.1       Passed as approved without much revision are:

       Articles 1. Name and Office; II. Purpose; III. Membership; IV. Meetings.
     
2.2       Goody then pointed out that we should tackle the succeeding portions of     the By-Laws at some other time and move to the next Agenda. Meanwhile, each one is free to review the By-Laws, as copies were previously  furnished through email.  A special meeting may be set later for  further discussion/revision.

  1. Rotary Club Raffle Ticket :
3.1       Sales and Collection : Php16,000 - based on ticket payments reported by
Abe   :  Php 7,500
                 Malou:            4,500
                 Other :            4,000

3.2       Cut-Off Dates for Ticket Payments :End of November 2011

In anticipation of the December Raffle Draw, only  those tickets recorded as paid and properly received by the Treasurers Local and US Based shall be included and be eligible to claim prize if the ticket be drawn as winner.
    
  1. Opening of  Bank Account
It was agreed that Manny, Baby, and Leo (President, Treasurer, and Auditor respectively) shall go, on October 6,  2:00 PM,  to Philippine Bank of Communications, Philcoa Branch --- to open the Batch ’70 Bank Account.
 
  1. Business arising from Minutes of Previous Meeting:
5.1       Update on the Ad Hoc Committees:

Some people may be involved with more than one Committee.
Each Committee/Group had set a particular meeting dates to get the ball rolling. It is expected that there will be accomplishment reports by next Batch Meeting (October 22, 2011)
    
5.2  Determine or get the estimated number of Attendees and for which Date/Activity of the Feb, 2012 Grand Batch’70 Reunion. 

5.3 Goody will draw-up listing of Christmas Caroling Hosts as well as draft    the  Letter/Notice for this purpose.

  1. Other Matters:
Lorna Callanta announced that December 3, 2011 will be the RMCHS General Alumni Association’s Homecoming at the School Quadrangle.     

7.   Meeting Adjourned around 8:30PM

Rolando Mendoza

Rollie and Family I think, Rolando 'Rollie' Mendoza was introduced to me by Veron de Guzman. I had quite a chat with him recently. That is quite a name, I mentioned. To be a namesake to an "infamous" man. And he says, yes, he's been teased about that for awhile. Rollie and family resides in the United States. I could guess that life's been good to him as well there; practically like all the rest of our Filipino compatriots who chose to try their luck, worked hard and succeeded. By the way, I spoke to him about our Jan or Dec 2012 Batch Reunion and Rollie  is pretty hopeful that he and wife might just join us.
