Organizing Group Meets for Feb 2015 Batch70 Reunion Planning

Hello Batchmates,

We are happy to announce that we are planning  to hold a Batch70 Reunion on Feb 20-21, 2015.

Please find the following as  the most updated details:

A. The organizing group is headed Susan Canonizado Villafranca who is based in Australia but regularly visits the Philippines.

B. By default all those present during the initial meeting serve as members. These are Josie Sy Ang, Jing Valdelleon, Doc Luming Lo, Dorri Santos, Linda Cristobal, Abe Espiritu, Goody Esguerra, Chuchi Estanislao and Malu Domingo. Linda Cristobal will serve as Finance Officer.

C. The Batch Reunion is scheduled for Friday, 20th of February, up to Saturday, the 21st of February, 2015.

D. The 2 Day Reunion Activities will be comprised of: Day 1 - Feb 20, 2015, Dinner Dance at Mismo Music Bar and; Day 2 - Feb 21, 2015, One Day Out of Town Trip to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan.

E. As our source of funds, and through the support of Josie Sy Ang, Past District Governor of RI District 3810, the Rotary International (RI) Cash Raffle Tickets are being made available to us.

1 - Lot or 48 booklets of the RI Cash Raffle Tickets were provided to our Batch to be sold or disposed at PhP 2,500.00 /booklet. or PhP250.00/ticket. Each ticket gives the ticket holder a chance to win PhP 1,000,000.00 CASH.

F. All we need to do is dispose or sell all the 48 booklets (PhP 120,000.00), return the PhP 20,000.00 to the Rotary as their share;  and we get to keep the remainder of PhP 100,000.00 which we can use to finance our Reunion Expenses (cost of food, venue, transportation, etc).

G. Tickets are now available through: Susan Villafranca, Abe Espiritu and Malu Domingo. All ticket payments will be remitted to and receipted by; disbursed  and accounted for by our Finance Officer, Linda Cristobal.

Rolando Mendoza

Rollie and Family I think, Rolando 'Rollie' Mendoza was introduced to me by Veron de Guzman. I had quite a chat with him recently. That is quite a name, I mentioned. To be a namesake to an "infamous" man. And he says, yes, he's been teased about that for awhile. Rollie and family resides in the United States. I could guess that life's been good to him as well there; practically like all the rest of our Filipino compatriots who chose to try their luck, worked hard and succeeded. By the way, I spoke to him about our Jan or Dec 2012 Batch Reunion and Rollie  is pretty hopeful that he and wife might just join us.
