       A. Batch '70 as one of the Major Hosts (Batch '65, '75, '80, '85) Batch participation or role in
            Registration, Souvenir Program.

       B. Distinguished Alumni Award - 2 nominees from Batch '70. Names to be submitted on or before
            October 31, 2010.

       C.  Batch Recognition Award - shall be given to the batch/es that has/have greatly contributed to the
            realization of the RMCHSAAI objectives and has/have participated in most, if not all of the alumni
            association projects and activities for the benefit of the Alma Mater and the alumni association as a
            whole. Deadline for the submission of nomination is October 31, 2010.

       D. Hall of Fame Award for the Batch/es - any alumni batch which has garnered a total of three (3)
            Batch Recognition Awards will be awarded the Hall of Fame  Award for Batch Recognition.

       E.  Special Requirements - Dinner (food, drinks, printing of entrance tickets, plaques for awardees,
            raffle items, Ads Solicitation for Souvenir Program publication, gifts for special awardees, etc.)

V.       Election of Batch '70 Board of Directors

VI.      Other Matters

       A. Special Number to be performed during the Dec 4, 2010 Homecoming
       B. Ballroom Fundraising Project of the RMCHAAI - October 16, 2010

Meeting Minutes

I.     Date: Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1:00 P.M.
       Venue: RMCHS School Grounds.

II.    Roll Call

      In Attendance were: 
      Lorna Callanta - Acting Chairman
      Goody Sabasa Esguerra
      Linda Avenido Cristobal
      Jing Valdelleon
      Veronica De Guzman Berona
      Remedios Gabriel
      Chuchi Estanislao
      Cecille Cabuhat Magdasoc  
      Malou Domingo

III.  Meeting Proper
       A.  Opening Prayer led by Lorna Callanta.

       B.  Lorna proceeded to give  a recap of past activities and/or updates about the RMCHS Alumni
            Asssociation Inc. as follows:
  • In support of RMCHAAI, a  Fund Raising activity has been initiated by printing  Commemorative T-Shirts at PhP350. Tshirts were sold,  and as a  result the batch now has PhP1,690. (all expenses deducted) 
  • Additional fund raising activities were identified like Fun Run. (Details on FunRun Protocols shall be researched by Goody Sabasa Esguerra?)
  • Lorna Callanta informed the group that she was appointed/elected as one of the seven Board of Directors of the RMCHS AAI.
  • As Major Hosts of the Grand Alumni Homecoming, the consensus we came up with was that our Batch shall participate in the REGISTRATION more than in the SOUVENIR Program preparation.
  • Several Names were submitted for nomination for the "Distinguished Alumni Award", as follows:
          Prof. Reuel Aguila (Philippine Literature)
          Dr. Hernani Cualing (Medicine)
          Enrico Labayen (Performing Arts)
          Linda Avenido Cristobal (Financial Management)
  • Election of Batch '70 Board of Directors
          All of us present in the Sep 25 2010 were unanimously decided to become  Board of Directors:

           Lorna Callanta,
           Veronica De Guzman Berona
           Linda Avenido Cristobal
           Remedios Angelias Gabriel,
           Victor "Jing" Vadellon
           Chuchi Estanislao
           Godelia Sabasa
           Cecille Cabuhat Magdasoc and
           Marilou  Domingo.
  • Other Batch Mates not present were also nominated, subject to their acceptance/confirmation in the coming meetings:
           Victor Abat, Ada Tolentino, Salome Señga, and others who might be able to join us by Oct 9, 2010.
  •  Everyone was enjoined to invite/bring/inform (via Radio Announcement; Banner Displays in Public Places; Text Brigades) as many Class/Batchmates as possible to attend/participate in the subsequent meetings.
  • Scheduled Next Meeting for  October 9, 2010.

Rolando Mendoza

Rollie and Family I think, Rolando 'Rollie' Mendoza was introduced to me by Veron de Guzman. I had quite a chat with him recently. That is quite a name, I mentioned. To be a namesake to an "infamous" man. And he says, yes, he's been teased about that for awhile. Rollie and family resides in the United States. I could guess that life's been good to him as well there; practically like all the rest of our Filipino compatriots who chose to try their luck, worked hard and succeeded. By the way, I spoke to him about our Jan or Dec 2012 Batch Reunion and Rollie  is pretty hopeful that he and wife might just join us.
