RMCHS Student Council Officers 1970

Here are two photos taken from the Apprentice, our school paper.  Remember, we were always winning awards? Because, we had good writers at the helm... I wonder, what it's like now.  Bringing home the bacon, so to speak, are they still?

The photo below was grabbed from an old "The Apprentice" showing the Student Council Officers elected for 1969-1970. (I assume).

Back then, we all knew that Reuel will play a significant role in this contemporary times. Not only because he is intelligent and articulate but a friend to the masses as well. Mulat ika nga. It is not surprising therefore to find out that he not only has one Palanca Award but has been a consistent winner. In fact, Reuel is a Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards Hall of Famer. Sobrang husay! Rolando Mendoza

Rollie and Family I think, Rolando 'Rollie' Mendoza was introduced to me by Veron de Guzman. I had quite a chat with him recently. That is quite a name, I mentioned. To be a namesake to an "infamous" man. And he says, yes, he's been teased about that for awhile. Rollie and family resides in the United States. I could guess that life's been good to him as well there; practically like all the rest of our Filipino compatriots who chose to try their luck, worked hard and succeeded. By the way, I spoke to him about our Jan or Dec 2012 Batch Reunion and Rollie  is pretty hopeful that he and wife might just join us.
