Reuel Aguila

Back then, we all knew that Reuel will play a significant role in this contemporary times. Not only because he is intelligent and articulate but a friend to the masses as well. Mulat ika nga. It is not surprising therefore to find out that he not only has one Palanca Award but has been a consistent winner. In fact, Reuel is a Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards Hall of Famer. Sobrang husay! Ipinagmamalaki kong sabihin na classmate ko sya. Magaling sumulat kahit noon pa, at mahusay sa lahat yata ng subjects all through out our high school years. Dati pa namin sya IDOL at di na marahil mababago ang paghanga namin sa kanya. Ang galing-galing mo, kamag-aral :-) Thanks to the Palanca website for this snippet. Please visit their site here . "Reuel Molina Aguila is the complete writer who has gone the rounds of all literary genres including poems, song lyrics, essays, and screenplays. He also writes scripts for film, television, radio, documentaries and concerts. Some of his pub

Joy Rosary

Joy and I lost touch with each other because she opted to teach in UP Visayas  (UP Iloilo, back then). She obtained her  B.S. Biology degree from Diliman. The last time I saw her was when she was studying for her masters in Bio at Diliman. Yun na yun. Di na kami nagkita ulit. Recently, at about the same time Sue and I were wondering how to get in touch with her, she found me through facebook.  And we were all  ecstatic.  Joy is now based in the Isle of Mann, a place near England. This photo reflects full contentment if I may say so. Imagine, wala pa daw sya grey hair aaayyyy. Kaingit naman kasi ako dami he he

Charlie J

And then there was social networking called facebook. Since 2003, when I discovered that I had hypertension, I vowed to myself that I will try to find a way to locate  relatives, friends and classmates. I suddenly realized life is short and each day that pass is lost opportunity for reconnection. After Susan C, came Charlie. I forget now, but I know Charlie and I managed to connect even before facebook. The social networking site just strengthened the bond. Charlie with daughter I believe.

Susan C

I heard Susan moved to Australia as far back as the late 80's. Not sure really. We haven't  sat down to account all those years  of absence.  Maybe she can update all of us through this blog.   This is her with her family. Picture taken,  I guess during her daughter's graduation.

Chuchi Estanislao

I didn't have to find Chuchi deliberately. We met somewhere in the late 90's. I learned that she studied in Italy for awhile and then worked in the Middle East.  When she decided to start  a family she moved to  Indonesia. Then decided to move back to the Philippines.  Chi and I  managed to stay in touch with each other, in fact my daughter was  tutor to her sons for awhile. But  daughter realized Tita Chuchi's boys didn't really need it. Although  we were not very, very close in high school, in recent years as adults,  we served as sounding boards to each other. Over the phone, or over fast food meals,  we endlessly spoke about personal issues, ways to make money for our respective families, potential business ventures, etc. Although there were episodes of misunderstanding, we were able to get through it and stayed as friends.  Visit her blog here .
